Installing Xerox Printer - Driver Installed Already:


  1. Open ‘System Preferences’ by clicking on the ‘Apple’ at the top left corner of your screen.


  1. Select the ‘Printers & Scanners’ preference pane.


  1. Click the ‘plus sign’ to add a printer.


  1. Select the IP tab at the top of the menu.

(Depending on the operating system you will see different icons)

 or 


  1. Use the ‘Protocol’ dropdown menu to select ‘Line Printer Daemon - LPD


  1. Type in the IP address of the printer you want to Install:

  1. After typing in the correct address you may see a spinning circle near the bottom left of the Printer window as it is gathering the printer information.


  1. If the driver was previously installed, you should see a driver name automatically appear. Note, it likely will not show the exact name and that is OK.   1. Type in the name you want to be shown when you go to select the printer for use.

  1. Click ‘Add’
